RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At 1836 Beard Co., we take pride in the quality of our handcrafted grooming products and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Because our products are personal-care items, we must also maintain appropriate health, hygiene, and product-safety standards.

Please review this policy before making a purchase.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Due to the personal-care nature of our beard oils, beard balms, beard butters, and other grooming products, opened or used products cannot generally be returned or exchanged unless the product arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.

To request a return or exchange of an eligible unopened and unused product, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

Unopened and unused
In its original packaging
In the same condition in which it was received
Accompanied by proof of purchase or your order number

Please contact us before returning any product. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

SCENT PREFERENCES

Fragrance is highly personal, and individual scent perception can vary.

Because of the hygienic nature of personal-care products, we generally cannot accept returns or provide refunds simply because a customer does not prefer a particular fragrance after the product has been opened or used.

We encourage customers to review the scent notes and product descriptions before ordering.

DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

We carefully inspect and package our products before shipment. If your order arrives damaged, leaking, defective, or otherwise unusable, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Please provide:

Your order number
A description of the problem
Clear photographs of the product
Photographs of the shipping packaging when applicable

Please do not discard the damaged product or packaging until we have reviewed your claim.

If we determine that the product arrived damaged or defective, we may offer a replacement, refund, or store credit, depending on the circumstances.

INCORRECT OR MISSING ITEMS

If we accidentally send you the wrong product or an item is missing from your order, please contact us promptly.

Provide your order number and, when applicable, a photograph of the items you received.

If the mistake was made by 1836 Beard Co., we will work to correct the issue at no additional cost to you.

HANDCRAFTED PRODUCT VARIATIONS

Many 1836 Beard Co. products are handcrafted in small batches. Minor variations in color, texture, consistency, scent intensity, or appearance may naturally occur between batches.

Temperature changes during shipping may also temporarily affect the consistency of products such as beard balm or beard butter.

These normal variations do not necessarily indicate that a product is defective.

If you believe there is an actual quality issue with your product, please contact us so we can evaluate it.

ALLERGIES & SKIN SENSITIVITIES

Customers are responsible for reviewing product ingredients before use, particularly if they have known allergies or sensitivities.

We recommend performing a small patch test before regular use.

If irritation or an adverse reaction occurs, discontinue use.

Except where required by applicable law or where a product is determined to be defective, refunds generally will not be provided for individual allergic reactions or sensitivities when the product’s ingredients were accurately disclosed.

REFUNDS

Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund.

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Processing times vary depending on your bank, credit-card company, or payment provider. Once we issue a refund, we cannot control how quickly the financial institution posts the funds to your account.

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable, except when the return results from an error by 1836 Beard Co., a defective product, or where otherwise required by law.

RETURN SHIPPING

Unless the return is due to an error by 1836 Beard Co. or an eligible damaged or defective product, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service when returning an item.

1836 Beard Co. is not responsible for return packages lost in transit before they are received by us.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Unless damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise required by law, the following items are generally not eligible for return:

Opened or used beard oils
Opened or used beard balms
Opened or used beard butters
Opened or used grooming or personal-care products
Gift cards
Personalized or custom-made products
Clearance or final-sale items clearly marked as such at the time of purchase

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate cancellation requests, but we cannot guarantee that an order can be canceled once processing or fulfillment has begun.

Orders that have already shipped cannot be canceled and will be subject to this Return & Refund Policy.

SALE & PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

Unless specifically marked Final Sale, products purchased during a sale or promotion are subject to the same eligibility requirements outlined in this policy.

Products specifically identified as Final Sale at the time of purchase generally cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect, or where otherwise required by law.
